Disclaimer

General information only

The content on Sunny Sill, including articles and calculators, is for general information and education. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your specific situation.

Our guides are general advice for common houseplants and edible plants grown indoors. Some popular houseplants are toxic to pets and children if eaten — check before bringing a new plant home.

Calculators

Our tools use widely published formulas to give a reasonable starting estimate. Individual needs vary, and results should be checked with a professional and adjusted over time.

Emergencies

If you think there is an emergency, contact an appropriate professional or emergency service immediately. Do not wait for an online answer.

Accuracy

We research and review our guides carefully and update them when guidance changes, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete or current at all times. Please let us know if you find an error.

Sunny Sill is not paid to recommend specific products or brands. Any advertising shown on the site is clearly separated from our editorial content.
